Artifice

The concept of beauty changes over time and is different in various cultures. Based on my observations of modern day popular culture, I have created a fictional future society, similar to the one in Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, where everyone is flawless and youthful. In this world, humanity’s desire for perfection has reached an extreme, resulting in people wearing skin suits to cover every inch of their natural body. They have turned to unnatural technological advances in superficial manipulation, enabling people to switch out their naturally grown limbs and parts out with artificial ones.  This is a people whose culture has taken out all natural beauty and deemed it ‘unfit’ to go into public looking different than anyone else.
